Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VCV) has announced the release of its new ‘Engineered To Go’ Crafter minibus.

The conversion has been carried out by the marque’s recognised partner Taxi Bus Conversions of Northern Ireland.

Safe, spacious and fully customisable

Featuring space for up to 17 passengers, including wheelchair users, the minibus conversion of the base Crafter model will be showcased at this year’s CV Show (April 30th to May 2nd) in Birmingham.

The first converted model will be displayed at VCV’s stand at the CV Show 2019 and includes a manually-operated front entrance door with a modified stepwell, as well as a Braun Vista Split inboard passenger lift at the rear.

It represents an evolution of the Crafter design and the model offers bespoke layout and seating options to meet the needs of customers. Indeed, design briefs are created unique to each Crafter minibus and the conversion work is completed by the brand’s official partner, ensuring outstanding build quality and a full warranty.

Nick Axtell, specialist sales manager at VCV, commented: “This conversion meets a customer demand for a spacious minibus with the flexibility to adapt the seat configuration to transport wheelchair users.”

He went on to add the new model will be added to the manufacturer’s Engineered To Go programme, ensuring customers “can get their hands on the conversion in the most cost-effective and efficient way possible”.

Jenny Smith, general manager for Tele-Gence, commented: “The option to take on a new Crafter minibus conversion is great news for anyone in need of a bespoke transport solution.”
