Subaru named Best Manufacturer for Safety Features 2019

Subaru has been named winner in this year’s Best Manufacturer for Safety Features category in the 2019 Driver Power Survey.
The manufacturer beat competition from 29 other marques to pick up this acclaimed award.
Safety at the heart of design
Subaru UK managing director Chris Graham commented: “The accolade is testimony to Subaru’s ongoing commitment to build the safest cars on the road today, with our latest safety technology fitted as standard across the SUV range.”
He added the brand is delighted to be recognised for the safety of its vehicles, especially given the fact this award was decided by those who matter most – drivers themselves.
Highlighting the considerable lengths that Subaru has gone to in enhancing the safety of its vehicle range, Auto Express editor-in-chief Steve Fowler stated the company is renowned for its high standards in build quality. However, the marque has recently placed the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians at the heart of its designs.
Indeed, he went on to praise the marque in developing its new EyeSight system, which offers a “well-judged package of safety systems powered by a pair of cameras to scan the road ahead”.
Jenny Smith, general manager for Tele-Gence, commented: “Driving improved standards of safety is important for all car makers and therefore it’s great to see Subaru receiving recognition for the huge strides it’s taken in this area in recent years.”
