SEAT has made more headway towards becoming one of the biggest names in the competitive company car arena after featuring in the ‘true fleet’ top ten.
The Spanish car maker recorded soaring fleet and true fleet sales growth for April and the year so far (14 and 42 per cent respectively), landing it in seventh place in April’s true fleet rundown.
This latest success marks a continuation of SEAT’s record-breaking form from 2017, despite the overall market suffering negative year-on-year results.
SEAT has just completed its biggest ever product offensive – launching the Arona crossover, Ateca SUV, fifth-gen Ibiza and updated Leon – and the exercise looks to be paying off with record fleet sales and a haul of awards across its range.
Verifying SEAT’s fleet strength, the brand was also named most improved fleet manufacturer of the year by Fleet News.

Peter McDonald, head of business sales at SEAT UK, said these results prove that the brand’s appeal amongst fleets isn’t temporary.
“Last year was no flash in the pan,” he commented. “SEAT has become a real contender for fleets across the UK by offering service levels and vehicles which really hit the mark.
“Our fleet offering has emerged as one of the most competitive on the market, with programmes including the four-day test drive scheme resonating well with fleet decision-makers, and the results of that are there for all to see.”
Ellie Baker, brand manager at Fuel Card Services, added: “SEAT really made their mark with the third-gen Leon in 2013 and the brand has gone from strength to strength since then. It’s great that company car drivers have another credible name to choose from.”
