French automotive icon Renault has announced the company will be offering a refreshed light commercial vehicle (LCV) line-up in 2019.

The company has unveiled four new models that will be available to buyers in the coming months.

Updating the classics and bringing something new

The new Renault Master has been upgraded for this year and offers a more robust front end, a wholly updated interior and new engine options to give more power and efficiency for buyers.

Meanwhile, the Renault Trafic also features updated interior and exterior styling, while new Renault Trafic Passenger & Spaceclass models are now being produced.

Finally, the new Kangoo Z.E. Concept foreshadows the upcoming reimagining of the Renault Kangoo in 2020, with this latest full-electric variant a show car at present, but set to be brought into full production soon.

Denis Le Vot, alliance senior vice president at the Renault-Nissan LCV Business Unit, commented: “In 2019, we will continue the renewal of our line-up to meet the expectations of our customers.

“Thanks to Renault Pro+ development and our connected services offer, we will keep on developing accurate and innovative solutions to support our professional clients’ business development.”

He added that 2018 was the best year ever for the manufacturer’s LCV sales performance – up by 34 per cent year-on-year – and the company hopes to capitalise on this momentum moving forward.

Jenny Smith, general manager for Tele-Gence, commented: “LCVs are the mainstay of many fleets, so to see an updated model range being released by Renault is great news for businesses up and down the country.”
