New Applegreen filling stations added to UK network

Written by Ellie

An additional 65 Applegreen filling stations have been added to the nationwide network of UK Fuels.

This is great news for Fuel Card Services customers, as these additional filling stations are now available for use for all holders of the UK Fuels Card (for which Fuel Card Services is an authorised reseller).

It means the network of UK Fuels filling stations has now swelled to 2,160.

Operated by Petrogas, Applegreen filling stations are located across the UK and Ireland and offer card holders the opportunity to access swift and simple refuelling options for their staff.

The benefit of a fuel card is that drivers do not need to carry large amounts of cash with them in order to fill up. It also ensures businesses can benefit from a much cheaper cost through bulk purchases.

Applegreen has expanded its network considerably in the last 18 months, growing from just 200 filling stations at the start of 2015.

The firm also recently reported a positive financial result for the first half of 2016, with pre-tax profits for the six-month period standing at €8 million (£7.2 million) – up from $5.8 million in the same period of last year.

Natalie Brinkley, brand manager at Fuel Card Services, adds: “It all bodes well for our valued customers, who are able to access an ever-growing network of filling stations across the country to fulfil their refuelling needs.”
