The UK continues to prove a booming market for the manufacturer, with Kia UK securing 29,954 sales, contributing more than 20 per cent of Kia Europe’s total.

Overall, the company saw growth in sales across its full model range, with particularly strong performances seen by the new Kia ProCeed, Stinger, Stonic and Picanto models.

Looking to the future, Emilio Herrera, chief operating officer for Kia Motors Europe, commented: “With our latest models pushing us to our best sales quarter ever, the following months will see us introduce other new models, including a new Ceed crossover later this year.

“With the ongoing expansion and renewal of our product portfolio, we are putting ourselves in a strong position to secure further sustainable growth in Europe.”
