This year’s Pendleside Hospice car raffle was a fantastic success once again, with long-time supporter Graham Hill scooping the big prize.
Graham (58), of Barrow, has supported the hospice since it cared for his former father-in-law back in 2008.
Having bought raffle tickets every year for the past 5 years the self employed financial services consultant was amazed when his ticket was drawn, commenting “It came as a bit of a shock. I thought I may have won £100 or a hamper, but not the car!”
This year’s car raffle raised £26,597 for the hospice and the winning ticket was drawn by Burnley entrepreneur David Fishwick in Charter Walk in Burnley.
