Honda Most Improved Manufacturer of the Year

Honda has been named this year’s winner of the Most Improved Manufacturer of the Year at the Fleet News awards.

Rewarding two years of improvement

The judges stated they were impressed by the company’s progress during the last 24 months, most notably the restructuring of its entire fleet infrastructure.

Standout additions to the manufacturer’s model line-up have been the new Honda CR-V hybrid, as well as the recently launched all-new 1.6 i-DTEC Civic diesel.

Other measures to enhance the offering to UK fleet operators have included the creation of Honda’s Platinum Programme – a personalised and localised maintenance and servicing package for customers.

Welcoming the news, Marc Samuel, fleet sales operations manager at Honda UK, said: “We have a clear idea of where our vehicles should be positioned … and are passionate about doing all we can to support dealer profitability by providing the vehicles they need to ensure our true fleet and end-user customers are in the right car at the right time.”

Mr Samuel went on to add that the company’s focus is not on volume, but on delivering the right vehicle to every type of customer.

Overall, Honda fleet sales now make up 37 per cent of the marque’s total annual sales ledger.

Ellie Baker, brand manager at Fuel Card Services, comments: “Honda has proven its ability to meet the needs of UK fleet operators and this latest award is simply recognition for the brand’s continued efforts in this area.”
