Fleets up and down the country that have not yet had the chance to register their entry for this year's Fleet Safety Awards from road safety charity Brake have been given an extended deadline to take part.
Due to unprecedented levels of interest this year, the deadline for entries in 2016 has now been extended to June 3rd; with the nation's fleet operators now invited to make their claim to be recognised in one of several high-profile fleet safety categories at a gala ceremony that will take place later this year.
Entrants will have the chance to be awarded in the following categories:
- Company Driver Safety Award
- Eco Fleet Award
- Fleet Safety Analysis and Action Award
- Fleet Safety Innovation Award
- Fleet Safety Partnership Award
- Fleet Safety Product Award
- Road Safety in the Community Award
- Global Road Safety Award
- Safe Vehicles Award
- Road Risk Manager of the Year Award
- Kevin Storey Award for Outstanding Commitment to Road Safety
Each of these prestigious awards will honour those fleet operators that have made the greatest strides and biggest efforts to improve the safety of their vehicles, drivers, training schemes and daily processes during the last year.
Brake professional engagement manager Ellie Pearson commented: "Entering the Fleet Safety Awards is a fantastic opportunity for organisations and individuals to gain recognition for their successes in improving fleet safety.
"The awards are free and simple to enter, and I'd encourage anyone who has not yet had chance to enter to take advantage of the deadline extension."
