Work in progress – the FORS Standard and evolving best practice

Written by Ellie

Supported by over 4,700 accredited members, FORS is at the forefront of industry best practice. In order to remain at the top of its game, the FORS Standard must continually evolve to meet demands of the ever-changing landscape of the transport industry. The FORS Standard is, therefore, reviewed and updated every two years. October 2018 will see the release of the latest update of the FORS Standard – to version 5.0.

The review is already underway involving a dedicated FORS Technical Advisory Group – a select panel of individuals from FORS GSAG (the Governance of Standards Advisory Group), the Metropolitan Police, the City of London Police, the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and the Health and Safety Executive.

Look out for more news about the implementation of version 5.0 of the FORS Standard.
