FORS Fuel Expert sponsors FORS workshop: Reducing fuel use and minimising environmental impacts

FORS Fuel Expert is proud to be working with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) to sponsor the upcoming workshop ‘Reducing fuel use and minimising environmental impacts‘.

 

Taking place in Wembley on 21 May 2019, the workshop will run throughout the day from 09:00 to 12:45. The workshop is open to FORS members only. Lunch will be provided to delegates attending both the morning and afternoon workshops.

What’s on offer?

This workshop examines what action you can take to reduce fuel usage and emissions. Additionally attendees will be looking at the impact fleet operations have on the environment.

Participants can expect the workshop to cover how to monitor environmental impact highlighted at FORS Standard Bronze requirement O2 and Silver requirement S3 Fuel, emissions and air quality, along with achieving sustainable operations through cleaner fuels at Gold requirement G6 Sustainable operations.

FORS Fuel Expert sponsors FORS workshop: HGV and PCV Fleet Management Essentials

FORS Fuel Expert is proud to be working with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) to sponsor the upcoming workshop ‘HGV and PCV Fleet Management Essentials’.

 

Taking place in Croydon on May 9th, the workshop will run throughout the day from 09:00 to 17:00. The workshop is open to both FORS members and non-members alike.

What’s on offer?

This one-day course is aimed at individuals hoping to gain the knowledge and skills required to effectively perform the duties of a formally appointed ‘responsible person’ in fleet management.

It is appropriate for:

  • Existing goods and passenger CPC holders requiring an update on current legislation and industry good practice
  • Managers and supervisors preparing to undertake the transport management CPC qualification
  • Managers and supervisors responsible for running Restricted Operator Licenced fleets
  • Transport office staff employed to support Operator Licence undertakings, such as records maintenance, tasking drivers, allocating vehicles, etc

The course will provide a full overview of effective fleet management principles, in addition to the operator licensing system and the FORS Standard.

Successful completion of a written assessment at the end of the day will result in the award of a Certificate in Fleet Management Essentials (O Licence Operations). This is awarded by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in association with FORS.

FORS members can sign up to take part at the discounted price of £130 + VAT per person. For non-FORS members, this cost increases to £295 + VAT per person.
