Fit to drive and stay alive

Following the success of last year’s thought-provoking conference attended by over 150 delegates, the CILT Transport and Logistics Safety Forum is delighted to announce that its 2018 conference is taking place on Tuesday 6 November, hosted by Transport for London at its new facility in Stratford, London.

The average age of drivers in the transport industry is on the rise and the rate of fatal incidents related to driver fitness, and health and impairment, is alarming. With this in mind, the robust and empathetic management of drivers’ health and well-being has never been so critical. This years’ conference will focus on these vitally important issues and their solutions.

To deliver the message, a diverse panel of experts has been lined up. Specialising in the field of driver health and well-being, they will share their knowledge, practical solutions, best practice, and advice. Together, delegates and speakers will discuss what to look out for, how to ask and how to address those challenging situations which must be tackled head on by the industry. Most importantly, what is the key to engaging empathetically with drivers to ensure they are fit to drive and stay alive?
