How to find us
Proud to be serving Kent businesses and investing in its people, since 1924
Brogan Fuels was founded in 1924 by Scottish boxing champion Bernard Brogan, selling paraffin from the back of a horse and cart. He soon acquired his first lorry and by the early 60’s the company had grown into one of Scotland’s largest tipper lorry and excavating equipment fleets.
However, with the potential closure of the local British Steel plant Ravenscraig, the Company diversified in the early 1970’s into fuel distribution and access plant hire.
When the steelworks finally closed in 1992 the Company’s emphasis shifted towards fuel distribution and Brogan Fuels was regarded as probably the largest independent fuel distributor in Scotland and probably Scotland’s largest kerosene heating oil supplier.
Dieselink Services was a wholly owned subsidiary which was set up in 1998 to supply fuel cards for diesel users at commercial prices, with offices in both Motherwell and Canterbury.
In late 2009, our parent company DCC PLC purchased Bernard Brogans operation in Scotland and its fuel card operations were merged into those of Fuel Card Services. The two sales operations continued to operate, in Motherwell trading under the Dieselink brand, the Canterbury operation which goes to market as Fuel Card Services.
